For over 20 years, our club has been blessed to link arms with homeschool families to invest in our children's spiritual and academic lives through speech and debate. Our club is parent-led, family-friendly, and also offers a Juniors program. We meet on Tuesday afternoons in Mission Viejo.

Our parent-led club is part of Saddleback Christian Academy PSP and meets in Mission Viejo, California. The purpose of our club is to strengthen our students’ speaking skills in a way that honors Christ. During our time together, we offer opportunities to learn and practice different types of speeches as well as Lincoln Douglas and Parliamentary debate styles. In addition to our weekly meetings, we participate in Stoa speech and debate league competitions (please see www.stoausa.org).
The benefits of speech and debate are many! While students sharpen their communication and critical thinking skills, they also grow in character within a supportive Christian community. As a parent-led club, our SCARLET parents have the privilege of learning alongside our students and offering them valuable feedback and encouragement. We love the amazing sense of community that develops due to having a parent-led structure where parents attend each club meeting with their students.
