We’re thrilled to host an early-week, two-day tournament right in the middle of busy spring season, an easy stopover on your way to River City Rumble!
Montana is hosting its 2nd-ever Stoa tournament, and we’d love to have you in the lineup.
Bring students of any experience level, first tournament or seasoned competitors, we’ll make room for learning, encouragement, and strong rounds. Coaches, we’d love your feedback as we build something excellent here. Parents and alumni: your judging truly blesses every student and makes the whole tournament possible.
Monday night we’re hosting a Dance Social + Dinner, and we really want you there.
Come relax, meet other clubs, and learn folk dancing with a teacher (no experience needed — seriously). It’s a fun, low-pressure way to build community and make the tournament feel like more than just ballots and schedules.
And to make travel easier: ALL meals are included at no additional cost.
Just show up, eat well, and focus on students.
We can’t wait to meet your team and welcome you to Montana!
Dates: April 13 - April 14
Cost: Debate - $35 per competitor
Speech - $20 per speech category + $10 each additional
Host Housing: We will be offering a limited amount of host housing. To for more infomation, please click on 'Host Housing Information'.
Parent or Chaperone Judges: Each registered competitor needs to have at least one of their own parents judging for them every day of the tournament. Students will need to have their parent physically on site at all times.
Thank you for your assistance to keep our tournament running on time. Please plan on judging every other round. Check with the ballot push table 45-30 minutes before each round to see what the judging needs are for the upcoming round. The Ballot Push Team will be happy to see you!
Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions to Heather Mapledoram (406-544-8047).
