Script Submission. Christmas in the Ozarks, December 3 to 5, 2026, Fayetteville, Arkansas.

All senior competitors with prepared speeches must complete the script submission process. There is no script submission for junior speech events.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Script Submission Opens: Thursday, November 5, 2026
Early Script Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2026, at 11:59 pm
Regular Script Deadline: Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 11:59 pm
Corrections Deadline: Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 11:59 pm
Storytelling Registration: Monday, November 30, 2026
Tournament Starts: Thursday, December 3, 2026

Early Script Submission Prize Drawing: We will be offering a prize drawing for every script submitted before 11:59 pm on November 13. Each script gives 1 entry into the drawing.

All scripts must be submitted by November 18 at 11:59 pm to avoid being dropped from that event. You will receive a confirmation email once your script has been received and approved.

Script Submission Corrections: If your script needs corrections, it must be corrected and submitted no later than November 24 at 11:59 pm.

How to Submit Scripts Electronically

  1. Follow the rules for your speech event.
  2. Follow the script submission guidelines and forms.
  3. Watch this short video.
  4. Combine each speech into a single PDF file. Recommended: Use a PDF phone scanner app
  5. Name the file correctly: Last Name, First Name - event.pdf
  6. Scroll to the bottom of this page and upload your file under ACTIONS.
  7. Correct or Celebrate: If your script is returned for corrections, complete any requirements in a timely manner and resubmit. Otherwise, it is time to celebrate your approval!

Check Your Script First

Before you submit, open your finished PDF and scroll through it. Check that every page is there, that the pages are in the right order, and that everything is easy to read, including underlining and parenthetical citations. Then run your script through the Stoa Script Compliance Tool. It reviews your script against the Stoa Rulebook and points out problems, such as citations, underlining and word counts, so you can fix them early instead of waiting for a correction request. Using it ahead of time can help your script be approved on the first try.
