MANDATORY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION: 

DEADLINES: 
All scripts must be submitted by the deadline. There will be NO on-site submission. Failure to submit scripts by the deadline will result in $25 late fee. 
**If scripts are not submitted by the deadline, you will be dropped from that event.*

Script Submission opens Monday, March 16th.

Original Script Deadline: Wednesday, Mar 25th - 11:59PM PST. Final submission due April 3rd.

1.  Watch this quick tutorial for platforms and interps and your scripts will sail through submission and be NITOC ready!

2.  Read Rules on the Stoa website

3.  Fill out Script Submission form pertaining to your event in Submission Forms

WHO NEEDS TO SUBMIT?
Competitors who are entered in the following events must submit scripts for approval. 
   - Interpretive Speeches: Dramatic, Duo°, Humorous, Open
   - Platform Speeches: Expository, Original Oratory, Persuasive
   - Wild Card Speech: Slam Poetry
Duo and Open have their own separate Submission Form

HOW TO SUBMIT
1. NAME FILES CORRECTLY: Last Name, First Name - Event, Document Type

2. ONLY pdf and doc files accepted. Please compile into one file.
- Platforms: Form, Script, Citation Page
- Interps: Form, Typed Script, Source Script

-Slam Poetry: Form, Typed Script, Citation page (if applicable)

3. How:

  1. Read the Rules for your speech event.
  2. Obtain Script Submission Forms here. Choose the form that applies to your category.
  3. Prepare your Script Submission Form with a parent or coach. Include initials and signatures. Make sure to list “Espresso Cup” as the tournament.  Script submission form must be signed by your Coach.
  4. Combine each speech into ONE FILE in PDF format only. Scan into a single file or use a PDF joiner such as:  PDFsam which requires downloading a free application or PDF Merge which allows you to merge via the website (see tips below for Interps)

If your file is too large, use a pdf compressor such as https://www.smallpdf.com

4.  Submit the Script:  On the Script Submission Tab for the tournament, you will see which scripts are due. You will see what day and time you submitted a script, and the status.

To upload a script to StoaHub,  click "Choose File" and add your script. It must be less than 10mb

Once you hit upload, you’ll see your status change and the review team will review it. Your script will either be approved or you will see that your script needs revisions, along with the notes of the reviewer. Remember to check here DAILYto see if revisions are needed. You will no longer receive an email. You will only receive an email saying it has been received and when it is approved.

5. After upload is complete the screen will state "Upload Complete" and you should receive an email confirming your submission has been submitted. Your scripts are in queue for review. Once reviewed, you will receive an email that your script is either approved or needs correction. 

6. If your script needs corrections, make the necessary correction and resubmit using the link above, noting that this is a corrected script.
