Please note:
We will be using the Stoa dress code standards for modesty; however, in the spirit of the season and the tournament title, we encourage everyone to dress for Christmas, a long winter's nap, or a trip to outer space.
(I guess you could dress for all three... Not sure how you would do that, but prove me wrong!)
This includes ties, socks, pins, ugly Christmas sweaters, Santa suits and elf hats. It could also include a modest onezie, an astronaught suit, your favorite PJ pants, or fuzzy slippers.
What does "modest" mean in this context? For starters, knees and shoulders should remain invisible in rounds. That goes for males and females alike. Beyond that, we trust parents and students to use their best judgement.
There will be a student-chosen award for the most interesting attire, so dress your best!
This tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser for Nashville area nonprofits.
One of those nonprofits is Chapin Serve, an innovative home-building initiative that's transforming lives in Guatemala. For years, Christians from the U.S. have been building homes for families living in extreme poverty, but now we're taking a bold new approach. Instead of relying solely on international volunteers, we're empowering local Guatemalans to build homes for their neighbors in need.
