Welcome to the 2025 Let's Contend Tournament!

What:  All speech events EXCEPT Impromtu (Impromtu may be added later, if space allows)

When:  Saturday, March 1st

Registration:  Wednesday, January 15th @ 8:00am - Saturday, February 1st @ midnight.

Pleae watch this parent judge video from Stoa on YouTube. At least one parent per family/household is required to be present and available to judge for the entirety of the tournament. Students attending without a parent will not be allowed to compete and no refund will be given. Please contact the tournament director if you have any questions about this policy.

*Please note that the dates are firm but the schedule is tentative; the schedule will be finalized after registration.  This is a small facility so we have allowed 2 days in order to accomodate 3 patterns.

*Everyone will start off on the waitlist so that we can open up space for most popular events. We plan to make a schedule that fits everyone in! (Except for Impromtu - probably NOT offering this event).  People will be moved off the waitlist by February 3rd, at which point you can review the schedule and pay : )

Script Submission: Scripts are due by Tuesday, February 11th @ midnight!  Submitted scripts must be approved by 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 15th so please keep a close eye on your email to make sure that your script has not been sent back for corrections!  If you'd like to request an extention for script submission, you must ask by February 9th (this is not a guarentee that you will get it).

Electronic Script Submission opens: Wednesday, January 22nd @ 8:00am

Fees:

Family Registration Fee (non-refundable): $25

Per Student Fee (non-refundable): $5

Events Fees (refundable): 1-3 events - $15 each

                                             4-6 events - $30 each

Late Payment Fee (after Feb 18th): $40

Self-drop Fee (up until Feb 21st) - $0

After Febrary 21st there will be no refunds for dropped events.

*Refunds will be not be sent until after March 5th, 2025.
