5 - Make sure to fill out the accompanying submission form and insert it at the front of your script
WHO NEEDS TO SUBMIT?
Competitors who are entered in the following events must submit scripts (include submission forms)
- Platform Speeches: Expository, Original Oratory, Persuasive
- Interpretive Speeches: Dramatic, Duo, Humorous, Open (each Interp category has its own form)
- Wild Card Speech: Slam Poetry
HOW TO SUBMIT
1. NAME FILES CORRECTLY: EVENT – Last Name, First Name – Title
Please use the following abbreviations for Events:
Expository – EXPOS
Original Oratory – OO
Persuasive – PERS
Dramatic Interp – DI
Duo Interp – DUO (*Include BOTH competitors names, see example below)
Humorous Interp – HI
Open Interp -OI
Slam Poetry - SP
Examples:
"PERS - Genius, Ima – Being Humble"
"DUO – Twiddle, Dee and Twiddle, Dum – Walrus and the Carpenter"
2. ONLY pdf and doc files accepted. Please compile into one file in the order listed below. Forms are found under Submission Forms on the Stoa website.
- Platforms/Slam Poetry: Form, Script, Citation Page
- Interps: Form, Typed Script, Source Script
3. Send completed, compiled script attached to email to scripts.vector@gmail.com
-ONLY SEND ONE SCRIPT PER EMAIL
-MAKE THE SUBJECT HEADING THE SAME AS THE FILE NAME
-If your file is too large, use a pdf compressor such as www.smallpdf.com
4. After you have sent an email, you should receive an email confirming your submission has been submitted. Your scripts are in queue for review. Once reviewed, you will receive an email that your script is either approved or needs correction.
5. If your script needs corrections, make the necessary correction and using the link above, noting that this is a corrected script.

What the statuses mean
- Setup
- The tournament is still being set up.
- Open
- Registration is open — families can register for the tournament.
- Drops Only
- No new entries are allowed, but families can drop existing ones.
- Closed
- Registration is closed — no adds or drops. Contact the tournament director with questions.
- Completed
- The tournament is finished.
