PARENT INFORMATION: 

Speech and debate tournaments are only possible because of the support of our parent judges. For this reason, every student must have a participating parent/adult judge present at the tournament. Parents will be expected to check in and verify judge commitments with their student at check in.  While we understand that it is sometimes more convenient or cost effective for families to send their students to tournaments with other families, this puts a severe strain on the availability of parent judges. You must either be present with your student at PPP, or you must have another adult who can feasibly fulfill all of your judging responsibilities. Any requested exceptions must be made in advance through the tournament directors.  Students who do not have an adult present to verify judge commitments will not be permitted to compete.

Parent judging requirements:

Parents with competitors at PPP need to sign up for a minimum of 4 speech rounds.

Tournament Fees:

Family Fee: $15 

Speech: $40 for up to 4 speech events (maximum of 4 events per competitor) 

Refund Policy
Before registration closes, adds and drops will not incur any extra fees, and all drops will be refunded (minus processing fees).
After February 27th, no refunds will be made and drops will incur a fee of $10.00 per event. All add, drop, and refund requests must be submitted by e-mail to our Tournament Registrar.

Waitlists

Events will fill up during registration. Don't worry...go ahead and register for them! We will be monitoring registrations and moving people off the waitlist as soon as we can.

Patterns: 

We will set/change patterns after registration closes. This helps us balance larger events within each pattern, so please check back for updates.

Meals: 

Meal registration will close at 12:00 pm Sat 03/14/2026 (Mountain)

Your family must be a member of STOA in order to compete. Please follow this link Stoa Membership to register. 

This tournament meets the minimum tournament standards of STOA for speech and debate.
