Welcome Community Judges

We warmly invite you to participate in the Siloam Sizzler Debate Tournament.  Thank you for serving as a judge!  We appreciate your time as you invest your in the next generation of leaders and communicators!  As a judge you are crucially important to our tournament.

What is the schedule of events?                                                                                                                                                                                        If you'll look at the tabs on the left side of the screen, you'll see a tab for "schedule."  Click here and you will see our tournament schedule.  To estimate the full time committment, add 30 minutes to the beginning of your chosen round.  This will allow you to receive a one-time orientation before you judge your first round.  Also add about 20 minutes after your round in order to fill out your ballot and ask questions as needed.  During your registration, you will be allowed to select as many rounds as you have time for.  Feel free to sign up for back to back rounds!

When should I arrive?                                                                                                                                                                                                          A one-time 20 minute orientation is required before you judge your first round.  Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early so you can get some refreshments and attend your orientation.  

Missing a meal?                                                                                                                                                                                                                     A judge hospitality room is provided for you throughout the day as a thank your for your willingness to judge.

Am I qualified to judge?                                                                                                                                                                                                  Yes!  Any adult (age 18 and over) who is willing to judge is qualified!  A brief orientation will be offered to you ahead of your first round of debate to guide you in your role as a judge.                                                                                                                                                **Alumni must be 18 and have graduated high school.
