Thank you for your willingness to participate in The Desert Gem as a judge! We hope you are blessed and encouraged by your experience during the tournament. We appreciate your support!

Qualifications
To serve as a judge, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have graduated from high school
- Be in good physical and mental health
(No prior judging experience is required—training is provided!)
What to Expect
(Arrive → Check In → Orientation → Judge → Turn In Ballot → Enjoy Refreshments)
Plan for approximately three hours total for your orientation, judging round, and ballot completion. To view the tournament schedule, click the Schedule tab on the left.
When to Arrive
Please plan to arrive at least one hour before your scheduled round. This allows time for Judge Check-In and Judge Orientation (explained below).
Parking
Tournament Location: Champion Life Church | 79733 Country Club Drive | Bermuda Dunes, CA
Designated Community Judge Parking will be clearly marked with signs. You’ll have preferred parking for easy access to the tournament venue.
Judge Check-In
When you arrive, please go directly to Judge Check-In at Ballot Push in the Judges’ Lounge.
Our friendly team will:
- Provide your name badge
- Confirm any student conflicts - meaning any students you personally know (such as relatives or close friends)
- Direct you to Judge Orientation
Judge Orientation
After checking in, attend Judge Orientation, held about one hour before your scheduled round. Orientation will walk you through the event you’ll be judging and answer any questions.
Please allow 30–45 minutes after your round to complete your ballot and enjoy complimentary refreshments in the Judges’ Lounge. To help keep the tournament running smoothly, judges should not serve in consecutive rounds—but judging every other round works perfectly!
