Because this is an early tournament, we feel that it benefits all teams to have a pool of cases to prepare for negative rounds. This allows for all teams to have better debate rounds and allows judges to see the best each team has to offer. This also helps teams expand their knowlegde of the new resolution and better prepare for the rest of the season.
We ask for each team to share their case title and some direction.
For instance, if you are increasing the Tariff Quota on sugar imported from Brazil.
You should NOT submit "Reform Tariffs in South America" or "Increase Tariff Quotas" or 'Reform Trade Policy in Brazil".
Submissions should name:
Sector Specific Information (Tariff Quota)(Sugar Industry)
The Location (Brazil)
The Action: ( increase, decrease, repeal, create, etc)
Once registration closes, a request will be sent out for each team to respond with this information.
*Case will be due by October 20th*
at midnight EST.*
Any team that does not share this information by the due date will not be allowed to view the case list and could be dropped from the tournament. The case list will be released on October 22th and will not be shared outside the competitors registered for this tournament. We only do the mandatory case share at our early tournament as we feel later tournaments do not need this advantage.
