The Texas Escalade Statement
The top priority for the Texas Escalade Leadership is the safety and welfare of our students and families.
Campus Identification
For security, all parents, judges, and competitors are required to wear a tournament name tag at all times.
Parent Responsibility For Safety
You as the parent are the primary supervisor for your child at The Texas Escalade. This is not a drop-off event and we require that parents attend and stay engaged with their children.
Campus Security Checks
The DBU Security teams and the Texas Escalade Facility and Security teams will be checking all tournament and non-tournament locations regularly.
Stay in Approved Spaces
We have not been granted use of the entire DBU campus. We have an Escalade map which outlines the spaces we have been provided for tournament use. Students and parents must stay in the designated tournament areas. Students and parents must leave competition rooms when they are not in use, returning to the parent/student room areas.
Students who are found in unapproved spaces at DBU may be dropped from competition at the discretion of the Tournament Leadership and Security Team.
DBU Security and Police Presence
The DBU campus is monitored by both DBU Security teams and the Dallas Police Department. Any behavior concerns during the tournament will be reported to the Tournament Director, but may also be escalated to these campus authorities.
Please check this page again before the tournament for Safety and Security updates.
