Speech and Debate Tournament!

Please click on the Community and Alumni Judge Registration tab on the left to register. We are so grateful for your service to our students. Here is some helpful information:

  • We provide training so no experience is necessary.
  • The commitment takes about 2-3 hours.
  • You choose the time slot that best fits your availability.
  • We feed you delicious food.

Serve as a Community Judge

Debate Events

  • Team Policy, Lincoln Douglas, and Parliamentary Debate

Speech Events

  • Limited Prep: Apologetics, Mars Hill, Extemporaneous, Impromptu
  • Platform: Original Oratory, Persuasive, Expository
  • Interp Events: Humorous, Dramatic, Open, and Duo
  • Wildcard: Slam Poetry

Junior Events

Junior debate will run at the same time as junior speech, so junior competitors must choose if they will do debate or speech events and register accordingly.

  • Platform
  • Interp

 

Student Registration

Opens: January 10, 2025 at 12:00 noon CDT.

Closes: January 17, 2025 at 12:00 noon CDT.

Tournament Fees

$45 per debate event

$30 for the first speech event

$15 for additional speech events

$20 for the first Junior speech event

$15 for additional Junior speech events

Drop fee per event: $20 per event

Late fee (after 1/17/25): $25

Some events may be waitlisted. Please be patient while we evaluate are space. We hope to get everyone who would like to participate a spot on our registration. As space becomes available, students will be added in the order registered. 

The Texas Wildflower is a Stoa qualifying tournament, and Stoa membership is required in order to participate.
