  This status is used while the tournament is still being setup.

• Open:

  This status means tournament registration is open. Families can register for the tournament.

• Drops Only:

  This status means only registration drops are allowed. There are no new entries allowed but families can drop entries.

• Closed:

  This status means registration is currently closed for the tournament. There are no adds or drops allowed. Please contact the tournament director with any questions.

• Completed:

  This status means the tournament is completed.

3mins - prep time. Each side gets 3mins of prep total.

Instructions and Rules

1. This will be a 1 vs 1 - LD style event
2.  We use the same resolution as Team Policy 
3. Speech times will be based on Lincoln Douglas times, except for the 1AC which will be 8min and 1NC which will be 8mins.
4. Other than speech times, the rules will be the same as those for TP.
5. This is a non-sanctioned Stoa event, but it will count for our tournament champion event.
6. This event will have four rounds and will run concurrently with Parli on Thursday, November 21st.  The champion will be announced on Friday night at the awards ceremony.
7. Ballots will be the same as TP, but with X through the partner's name.

The Junior Tournament - Rules, Details, and Topics

• Will take place on one-day, Thursday, Nov. 21st
• All three events - Apologetics, Impromptu, and Orginal Oratory will run concurrently with the first three rounds of Parli (See Schdule)
• Junior awards will be ASAP after break announcements at 5pm
• Apologetics and Impromptu will be 3min prep and 4min speech time 
• Orignal Oratory will be 5min prepared speech
• Juniors may use note cards
• Students 15yrs and older may judge these events
• Cost is $15 per event
• Mishelle Almer is graciously taking the lead for the Juniors event, so you'll be in great hands!
