To all Parents of SV & JR/JV Competitors:
Thank you for your commitment to your students and this community.
Please review the following parameters that will help the tournament to run effectively.
1. Every competitor must be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone at ALL TIMES while on tournament grounds. Your student will not be able to check-in at the tournament without an accompanying parent or adult chaperone, who is at least 21 years old.
2. All parents are expected to judge. You will need to register as a judge, as many of you have already. You can still register to judge even now. Please do not sign up to judge back to back rounds unless you are certain that you can fill out your ballot between rounds.
3. Chaperones, you are required to fulfill judging requirements for your own students PLUS the additional student you bring. Reminder: Chaperones must carry signed Medical Release forms for their students.
4. At the tournament there will be a required orientation meeting for all judges.
5. All parents who have not attended a Stoa Debate &/or Speech Judge Orientation this school year are required to attend Judge Orientation before judging at this tournament. Judge Orientation will be offered 30, perhaps 45 minutes, before each round in a room designated for Judge Orientation just off the Judge Hospitality Room. Signs will be posted in Judge Hospitality.
6. All parents must report to the Ballot Push table in the Judge Hospitality Room 30 minutes prior to each debate round to assure that all judging slots are filled. We will be using the slots you sign up for as much as possible, however we most likely will need additional judges for any / every round at this new-to-us tournament location.
7. If you have a unique circumstance that does not allow you to fulfill the above requirements, then please email us at ambassador.tournament@gmail.com.
Thank you for your commitment to your students & the Stoa Christian homeschool speech & debate community! We are hoping, working & praying that you all have a great tournament!
By God's Grace & Mercy,
Lana

Safety
Parents or supervising adults, must plan to remain on site while your student is present throughout the tournament. Your student's safety and positive experience is of utmost importance.
Importance of Parent Judges
Thank you for understanding that a sizable pool of parent judges is critical for providing a quality tournament for all competitors. With that in mind, your minimum requirement is to judge the rounds for which you signed up. You also need to check in with Ballot Push at the beginning of each round in case there are some unexpected judging needs.
Check-in
All Parents/Judges will check in just inside the rear church entry where you will also receive your name badges. Follow signs to this rear entry.
Visitors
To keep everyone safe, all adults at the tournament need to check in and wear a name badge. Please stop by the Judge Greet table at the rear entrance to get a name badge. Thank you!
