MANDATORY ELECTRONIC SCRIPT SUBMISSION for Senior Speeches
All scripts must be reviewed before the tournament within the given deadline. If you need to have a deadline extended, please get in touch with the Script Review Team. If you have a prior tournament script approval, you may submit that approval, the script, and the Spring Fling script submission form if there have been no changes to the script since that approval. Thank you.
OPENS: February 14, 8:00 am CST
DEADLINE for initial submissions: March 7, 11:55 p.m. CDT.
*Submitting a script after the deadline is considered a competitive advantage. Failure to submit your script by the deadline for initial submissions WILL result in your being dropped from the event. Extenuating circumstances will be considered; please contact the Script Review Team at gascriptsubmission@gmail.com.
FINAL CORRECTIONS: March 11, 11:55 PM CDT. Your script must be corrected AND approved by this date. Failure to meet this deadline could result in your being dropped from the event. There are only 3 corrective tries.
Competitors who are entered in the following events must submit scripts for approval:
Interpretive Speeches: Dramatic, Duo, Humorous, Open
Platform Speeches: Expository, Original Oratory, Persuasive
Wild Card Speech: Slam Poetry
Before you begin:
Watch the tutorial! Just 6 minutes will save you (and us) loads of time! While the video is somewhat out of date when referencing the Wild Card event, the basic principles and instructions still hold true.

Deadline for submissions: Saturday, March 7, 2026 11:55 PM CST
Deadline for script submission corrections: Wednesday, March 11, 2026 6:00 PM CST. If your script requires corrections, it must be corrected and approved by this date.
If you have prior approval of a script from an STOA-sanctioned tournament and have not changed the script AT ALL, submit that approval email along with the script packet to our script submission email above no later than 11:55 PM CST, Saturday, March 7, 2026.
You will receive a confirmation email once your script has been received and approved. Please save a copy of this confirmation email on your phone or print it out to have with you at the tournament.
All scripts must be submitted by the deadline above to avoid being dropped from your registration resulting in a charged drop fee for that event.
