Tournament TimeThe SPUR Speech and Debate Club, which is a part of STOA Christian Homeschool Speech and Debate League will be hosting the The Western Slope Rendezvous Tournament. The dates for the tournament are Thursday, January 30th, Friday, January 31st, and Saturday, February 1st. The tournament will be at Canyon View Vineyard Church. Each day there are different time slots to sign up for to judge. You can judge as little as one round or you can judge multiple rounds. We will have apporixamtely 122 competitors coming from all over the state and need approximately 200 community judges. If you are willing to help judge we would be truly grateful.
The time commitment is approximately 3 hours. This time includes arriving about 45 minutes before the first round that you will judge, going through judge orientation, receiving your ballots, watching the speeches in your assigned room, and then filling out your ballots. There will be plenty of food and beverages to enjoy while you are our judge.
Please consider this opportunity to bless these homeschool speech and debate competitors so that they can get great feedback and grow in their speaking and debate skills. Once you click on the blue "Register Now" button you will be able to see all of the different times slots that are availble. I believe you will be blessed by the speeches you hear and the debates you watch. Please know, you do not have to judge both speech and debate, you may select to only judge speeches or only judge debates, or you may judge both. It's up to you. Just click on the "Register Now" button and sign yourself up.
