We are so excited to host another Stoa Tournament to the Western Slope of Colorado!
Wednesday will be an all-day Parli & Extemp extravaganza! The tournament facility for this day/events will be Monument View Bible Church located at 1173 17 1/2 Rd., Fruita, Colorado.
Thursday the tourament will move to Canyon View Vineyard Church who is graciously hosting us again this year! Their address is 736 24 1/2 Rd, Grand Junction, Colorado. Grand Junction is a great town with plenty of amenities.
Please check out the links at left for particular details regarding HOST HOUSING & OTHER ACCOMODATIONS, SCHEDULE, SCRIPT SUBMISSION, JUNIOR TOURNAMENT DETAILS, MEALS, ETC. A few highlights/details are listed below that may differ from typical tournaments.
- We ARE adding Parli to the tournament schedule this year!
- If you are a parent who will sign up to judge at least 4 rounds each day, your meal expenses for lunch and dinner will be covered!
- There MUST be a parent/chaperone dedicated to accompany each family group with competitors. You may not send a competitor with another family without permission from the Tournament Director. If you do not obtain this permission prior to the tournament, your competitor WILL BE DROPPED from WSR.
- PLEASE check out the links regarding dress code, media permissions, speech disclaimers (among other things) and all the other tabs to make sure you are ready to come compete!
- We will have a tournament-wide ballot party after the awards ceremony with ice cream & snacks, compliments of the the hosting club, Spur Speech & Debate!
