2026 Beacon at the Bay

February 20-21, 2026 (Friday - Saturday)

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16)

It is a our joy to host Beacon at the Bay once again. It will be a 2-day tournament with most all speech events and Team Policy and Lincoln Douglas debate events. We pray that students, parents, and judges will be inspired and encouraged to shine brightly for His kingdom.

We will also once again offer a Juniors Tournament for our up and coming students.

This NITOC qualifying speech tournament will consist of two preliminary rounds and one final round. Events with a small number of entries will compete in a third round during the final round.

Registration opens Monday, January 5, 2026 at 8:00 am PST
Registration closes Sunday, January 18, 2026 at 11:59 pm PST

Registration Fees
Team Policy Debate: $45 per person
Lincoln Douglas Debate:$45 per person
Speech Individual Events: $35 for the first speech event and $25 for each additional speech event up to six events maximum.

For Juniors: $10 for each event

Parents, it will be imperative that you judge above and beyond.  Our club, being smaller, has a harder time recruiting community judges... so please be ready!

Judge Orientation
Judge Orientation and Training Sessions take place 45 minutes before your scheduled round so please arrive at the Tournament location at least 45 minutes before you are scheduled to judge.
