Welcome, Parents!
Your presence on campus and participation with judging are crucial to the success of this tournament. The SoCal Sweetheart Classic reserves the right to remove competitor eligibility if parent volunteer support is not in compliance with tournament requirements.
Parent participation:
- Each registered family is required to have a minimum of one parent present each day of the tournament, judging or volunteering the equivalent of every other round throughout each day (typically that translates to judging 3-4 rounds each day (dependent on daily schedule), or volunteering 6-8 hours each day, or a combination of the two!). You help each competitor and allow the tournament to run smoothly and on time by being available and willing to judge throughout the tournament as stated.
- Stoa Membership is required for tournament participation.
- Parent members must be in agreement with Stoa Statement of Faith (see competitor eligibility requirements)
- Judge Orientation is to be attended annually. If you have not attended an orientation session this year, you are able to do so at this tournament. Judge Orientation will be held one hour prior to each round.
- Please check with Ballot Push 30 minutes before rounds to receive ballots.
Local families, would you like to help us recruit community judges? Community judges bring a fresh perspective to the work our children have accomplished! We will provide the training and materials necessary for judges to be comfortable and capable. Judges must be 18 years of age and not a competitor.
