Thank you for investing your time in our students. We are truly grateful for your support!

Below is some helpful information to get you started.

  • No experience is necessary!
  • Click the Community and Alumni Judge Registration tab to register.
  • Choose the time slot(s) that best fit your availability.
  • Please plan to arrive 45 minutes before your scheduled round for judge orientation.
  • Each round lasts 2–3 hours, including orientation, the speech or debate round, and completing your ballot.
  • Home-cooked meals and plenty of coffee are provided to thank you for volunteering!

We're excited to host you at a new location this year! Click on the Timetable tab for all important dates and deadlines. 

Here is some detailed information:

Event Registration

  • January 7–14: Registration is open for adding and dropping events without penalty. Full payment is due.
  • January 14: Tournament registration closes at midnight and the Drops Only period begins.
  • January 15–19: Please log in to your registration to drop an event, if needed.
    Event fees are nonrefundable, but no drop fee will be charged.
  • January 19: A late payment fee of $25 will be added to unpaid registrations at midnight.
  • January 20: Continue to log in to your registration to drop an event through the start of the tournament. 
    A drop fee of $25 per event will be charged.

Script Submission

  • January 21 at 8:00 am: Script submission through StoaHub opens.
  • February 2 at 11:59 pm: Script submission deadline.
  • February 4 at 11:59 pm: Corrections deadline.

Other Info

  • Some events may be waitlisted. Please be patient while we evaluate space.
  • Depending on registration numbers, speech patterns and junior events are subject to change.
  • Stoa membership is required to participate.
  • Registration for meals closes at midnight on January 30.
