Junior Debate
- Open to students ages 8–11 as of October 1, 2025. If you turned 12 after October 1st, you may participate!
- Two debate rounds will take place back-to-back on Friday morning.
- Check-in is at 7:30 am.
- $20 per student.
- Debate Resolution: Resolved: Fiction is better than non-fiction.

Junior Speech
- Open to students ages 5–11 as of October 1, 2025. If you turned 12 after October 1st, you may participate!
- Two separate speech rounds will be held on Friday at 11:15 am and 5:45 pm.
- Check-in is at 11:00 am.
- $15 per student for the first event; $10 for each additional event.
- Students may enter up to four events. Depending on registration numbers, some events may be combined.

Junior Dress Code & Props
- Boys: Suits or dress slacks with a dress shirt, tie, blazer or cardigan, and dress shoes.
- Girls: Dresses, skirts, or dress pants with a nice blouse, blazer or cardigan, and dress shoes.
- Competitors are responsible for providing their own speech materials and props.
Junior Tournament Judges
We're grateful for students who are willing to serve as junior judges. Thank you!
- Speech: Students who have competed as a senior competitor in at least one Stoa tournament prior to the Texas Wildflower.
- Debate: Students who are second-year senior debate competitors.
- Sign-up: Please register under "Competitor Requests" in your StoaHub registration. Sign-up will also be available onsite.
- Arrival Time: Judges should arrive 20 minutes before each junior round for judge orientation.
