Transparent Tabulation
The Cross Timbers Classic follows Stoa's Transparent Tabulation Process. For full details on Stoa's tabulation policies and procedures, please see the Stoa Tabulation Manual.
Debate Pairings
- Byes: If a debate event has an odd number of competitors, a bye will be needed. Byes are assigned randomly in the first two rounds and to the lowest seed in the remaining preliminary rounds.
- Random rounds: In all debate events, Rounds 1 and 2 are randomly paired, using club protection whenever possible. Because club sizes vary widely, club protection may not always be achievable.
- Power matching: Rounds 3–6 will be power matched, depending on the number of competitors.
Tie Breakers
Stoa NITOC tie breakers will be used to rank teams through preliminary progression.

What the statuses mean
- Setup
- The tournament is still being set up.
- Open
- Registration is open — families can register for the tournament.
- Drops Only
- No new entries are allowed, but families can drop existing ones.
- Closed
- Registration is closed — no adds or drops. Contact the tournament director with questions.
- Completed
- The tournament is finished.
